it definatly is a ring of sorts, but i don't know that it's a wedding band - it looks more like a signet ring to me. dad wears one and it looks quite similar; it's a gold ring with our family coat of arms on it, so it's more chunky on the top (for the engraving) than a wedding band, and imho, that's what kiefer's looks like....though it's odd that he wore it on that finger...maybe he just got it and hasn't had it resized to fit his little finger yet.......or am i just grabbing for answers that arn't it being a wedding band!??

I saw a different picture of Kiefer and you could see that the ring was slightly wider on the top so I also think that it is a signet ring.
I'll go check on that picture and post it.

yer - he did look great, didn't he! i must admit tho, as much as i love a man in a bow-tie, kiefer always seems to look uncomfortable - i much prefer him in a stylish suit (3 piece preferably )....and besides, with kiefer in a tie, it's all the better lead him into the bedroom. . .

Oooooh Finner you saucy minx! I love it! As for the ring, I'm 99.9% sure thats its a signet ring. There are some old photos of him wearing that ring elsewhere, but where they are I plum forget. But I'm pretty sure we're safe (and all still up with a chance )

I know this is been a while that I have written, but it is kind of creazy at my office for the moment... Oh... I know you don't care, but I am happy to be here again with you !! Concerning the "ring" affair of the moment... I am pretty sure that this is NOT a wedding ring !!! Don't worry KiefersVixen. In frensh we call this kind a "Chevalière". Normally it is the parents that offer this kind of ring for your 18st Birthday. It is nearly always in gold and the top is plane. You can grave your initials, the crest of your family (if you have) or place a precious stone (if you have a wealthy family !!). Another occasion to have that kind of ring, is when you go to University. It can be given away by our Principal and the sign of the school can be graved on it... You are not obliged to wear it on your little finger, you can have it on the third finger too... Hope my knowledge concerning jewels (I love rings !!) could help someone and that you all will have a peacefull sleep ! Luv... Lyly.

ROFL! @ LK - i've never been called a 'saucy minx' before...!! now, if only it was kiefer calling me that. . . *comes back to reality* i'm gunna be really anal here and add a couple of things about signet rings - tho i'm nt 100% that i'm right..but oh well, what's that to stop me! from what i understand, they're a ring with the family shield - a coat of arms is made up of a shield (ie. litterally the design pattern on a shield that one would bare in combat), and a helmet with a crest - the crest is just the plume at the top...can be anything from feathers to a possum (that's what we've got!) - so fr example, n dads ring - which is infact gold - he just has the shield as the whole coat of arms is a lil big the rings are normally worn on the pinkie of the left finger (assuming you're right handed) as when you'd write a letter, you would seal the envelope with wax, take your ring off your left hand with your right to stamp it in the wax to leave your personal mark.. anyway, that was prolly a boring history lesson - that mite not even be right - for you all....but who said these forums can't be educational...! hell, we're certainatly leaning enuf about anatomy oh, and if we're deciding what we like kiefer dressed in best - why not the ol' pop-button shirt. . .with the tie of course.....oh! the possibilities
