I've just found this, congratulations to Kiefer
GOOD KIEF! ACTOR OVERJOYED: 24 star to become grandfather at 37
HOLLYWOOD star Kiefer Sutherland is to become a granddad at 37 - thanks to Scots son-in-law Adam Sinclair.
But the 24 actor has no fears about being tagged an old fogey and is 'delighted' for Adam, 27, and his stepdaughter Michelle Kath, 28.
The couple, who married in Edinburgh City Chambers in May, are expecting their first baby on February 20.
Adam, of East Kilbride, said: 'It was a honeymoon baby. It wasn't planned, it just happened a wee bit quicker than expected but it's very welcome.
'Kiefer is over the moon. He's filming in New Zealand and we couldn't get hold of him at first but by the time we spoke we'd left so many messages he'd guessed the news.
'Like my own parents Robert and Georgina he's delighted. I haven't asked him how he feels about being a granddad at his age yet but I think it will hit home when we decide whether to call him Grandpa, Gramps, Poppa or something else.'
Actor Adam - who returns to our TV screens this week as gay air steward Will O'Brien in Sky One's Mile High - met Michelle, 28, when he starred with Kiefer in POW movie To End All Wars, in Hawaii, in 2000.
She was visiting her stepdad - who is now divorced from her mum Camelia Kath - on the set.
Kiefer initially warned Adam to 'stay the **** away from my daughter' but soon gave his blessing.
He even gave hip hop DJ Michelle away while wearing a Douglas tartan kilt in honour of his Scots granddad Tommy Douglas.
Adam said: 'Kiefer and I are the best of mates. We were drinking pals before I met Michelle but we both had to take on different roles of being a respectable father and son-in-law.'
Adam is due to finish filming his third and final series of Mile High in October before the couple return to their LA home to prepare for parenthood. He said: 'I want to take a break and look forward to the baby.
'You hear clichŽs like getting married is the best day of your life but it was for me and I hope having the baby will be even more special.
'I'm quietly hoping for a boy to keep the bloodline strong but I don't really mind. It will be fantastic.
'I will always be a Scotsman. The baby will know its roots - we're thinking of Scottish and Gaelic names.' #Are you a younger granddad than Kiefer? Call us on 0141 309 3232.
